Construction

The construction industry is complex and unique from the standpoints of financial planning and taxes. Our experienced professionals provide expert guidance for bonding and credit requirements and advise our clients on effective tax structuring and planning.

Our industry knowledge led to Rodefer Moss's selection to play an extensive role in the financial administration of the “World Trade Center Disaster Recovery Project”.

We view our responsibility to our clients broadly, not only providing professional services of the highest quality but also serving as business advisors. We offer a wide range of services including:

Audit & Review of Financial Statements

Our financial statements reflect the highest level of professionalism. We consistently seek and employ the most recent industry trends and techniques in our financial statement presentation. We also periodically poll the surety industry to ensure that your financial statement presentation contains their preferred form of disclosures, supplemental schedules, etc.

Benchmarking

Another product we offer is a graphical financial analysis and assistance in its interpretation. The analysis compares current and historical financial information and matches it against industry averages or benchmarks. The analysis also presents a calculation of key financial ratios useful to management, bonding and surety companies, and lending institutions.

Planning

We typically establish a schedule that includes quarterly planning sessions. Many business owners and executives find that day-to-day responsibilities prevent allocating sufficient time to step back and evaluate long-term objectives. Once each quarter, our process brings you, the client and us, your advisors, together to spend time working “on” the business rather than “in” it. During these sessions we will:

  • Analyze financing and bonding throughout the year and make suggestions to maximize financing and bonding capacity
  • Stay in regular contact with your bonding agent and surety to ensure that we present them with no surprises and that open communication is maintained
  • Consider the financial statement impact of all transactions and communicate the associated risk
  • Act as a sounding board to management when deemed appropriate on such issues as estate planning, financial structure, information systems, operations analysis, and acquisitions transactions
  • Suggest means to maximize bonding capacity and preserve cash through performance of (or assistance with) rigorous tax planning

Most successful companies become that way by seeking ongoing consultation; therefore, it is likely that you will call upon us throughout the year for additional services.
