Scott Schlag is an Audit Manager at Rodefer Moss, bringing more than a decade of public accounting and financial leadership experience to the firm. He specializes in audit, review, and compilation engagements, with deep expertise serving governmental entities, not-for-profit organizations, benefit plans, and privately held companies.

In his role, Scott leads audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and Yellow Book standards. He works closely with client leadership to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues and provides practical recommendations to strengthen financial processes and controls.

Prior to joining Rodefer Moss, Scott spent over 12 years with a regional public accounting firm in Oregon, where he built a strong foundation in assurance services and client relationship management. He also served as Director of Finance for a municipal organization, giving him valuable insight into public-sector financial operations and compliance requirements.

Scott relocated to the Nashville, Tennessee area in August 2025 after spending his career in Oregon and now serves clients from Rodefer Moss’s Middle Tennessee market. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is known for his thorough approach, collaborative mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable audit services.
