Rick is experienced in business valuation and cases involving business interruption and lost profits, as well as professional malpractice cases. He has provided consultation and assistance in estate, gift and trust cases involving litigation over valuation, propriety and timing of distributions, and other matters. Rick has also provided expert testimony in connection with various matters in courts at both the local and federal level. He was one of only a few CPA’s to be appointed as Examiner for the US Bankruptcy Courts in the Eastern Districts of Kentucky and Tennessee in Chapter 11 reorganization cases.​

​Rick has more than 40 years of experience providing audit, accounting, and management advisory services to clients ranging from small, closely held businesses to multi-billion dollar corporations. He has approximately twelve years of experience with nationally and internationally recognized accounting firms.  His experience also includes audits, attestation and accounting services in accordance with professional and governmental standards.​

​Rick’s client work includes both public and private companies, individuals, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations. Currently, he is responsible for performing technical review for audit and accounting matters on most engagements for the firm. Rick routinely provides technical consulting to other accounting firms, and has served as a team member for peer reviews for a number of accounting firms.​

​Rick assists clients in various public filings, private offerings, and several types of financings with banks, investment bankers, and other capital market funding sources. He has provided services in numerous financing matters, including business plans, loan requests, and negotiating terms of debt and venture capital financings. His experience also includes registrations and filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.​
